Board of Education Meeting - Special Meeting

The Moon Area Board of Education held a special meeting on July 30, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Board Room, called to order by the president. Eight directors were present—the president, Schisler, Tatone, Bussard, Testa, Tranter, Hauser, and LaRue—with Harbaugh absent. Administrators Mrs. Johns, Mrs. Lindsey, and Mr. Addy attended, and approximately 12 people were in the audience.

The sole substantive action concerned personnel. A motion, made by a director and seconded by a director, approved a resident to the position of Principal at Hyde Elementary School for the 2014-2015 school year. The appointment was contingent on receipt and review of clearances, with a salary, and a start date of July 31, 2014. All directors voted in favor on a voice vote.

No audience members spoke on either agenda or non-agenda items. The meeting was adjourned at 7:12 p.m. under a motion by a director, seconded by a director. The minutes were submitted by the Clerk of the Board, and signed by the secretary.
