Board of Education Meeting - Special Meeting

The Moon Area Board of Education held a special meeting on February 2, 2015, beginning at 6:03 p.m. in the High School Board Room, called to order by the president. Directors present were the president, Tatone, Tranter, Harbaugh, Bussard, Schisler, and LaRue; Testa and Hauser were absent. An employee served as clerk and Tatone as secretary.

The meeting addressed a single agenda item: a nomination for the Moon Transportation Authority board. Schisler moved to propose to the Moon Township supervisors the appointment of a serving school director to a five-year term on the Moon Transportation Authority board beginning in January 2015. The motion specified that if the school director's school board service ends before the MTA term expires, he would resign from the MTA board at the same time. Bussard seconded the motion, and all directors present approved it by voice vote.

No other business was conducted, and there were no audience remarks. The meeting adjourned at 6:08 p.m. following a motion to adjourn by Schisler, seconded by Tatone.
