Board of Education Meeting

The May 26, 2015, meeting of the Moon Area Board of Education was held in the High School Board Room at 7:00 p.m. and called to order by the Secretary. The Secretary, two other directors, and two administrators were present, while six directors were absent. One other individual was also present. No audience members attended.

The Secretary noted that Board Policy 006 requires a majority of directors for a quorum and bars transacting business without one. No business was transacted at the meeting. The board had posted a public announcement on the district's website and social media sites and sent it by email through the Connect-5 system, informing the public that a quorum was unlikely due to illness and other circumstances.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn. The Secretary moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:03 p.m. and reconvene on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., seconded by a director. All directors approved the motion on a voice vote. The minutes were submitted by the Clerk of the Board of Education and signed by the Secretary.

No appointments, purchases, programs, or reports were made at this meeting, which served only to reschedule the board's next session.
