Board of Education Meeting - Special Meeting

The Moon Area Board of Education held a special meeting on May 29, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Board Room, called to order by the Board President. Directors present were the Board President, a director, a director, a director, a director, a director, and a director, with one director joining by conference call and one director absent. Administrators attended, and there were three audience members.

The board's only substantive action was approving the proposed final 2015-2016 General Fund Budget. Moved by a director and seconded by a director, the motion approved the budget in accordance with the attached PDE-2028 form and the requirements of Special Session Act 1 of 2006. The budget summary showed an estimated assigned and unassigned fund balance as of July 1, 2015, with total funds available split between local sources, state sources, federal sources, and other sources. Total appropriations were allocated across regular instruction, special instruction, and fund transfers. The estimated budgetary fund balance as of June 30, 2016, was provided. All directors voted in favor on a roll call vote, with the exception of two directors, who voted in disfavor.

The meeting adjourned following a motion by the Board President, seconded by a director, to adjourn at 5:08 p.m., approved on a voice vote with all directors voting in favor. The minutes were submitted by the Clerk and the Secretary.
