Board of Education Meeting

The Moon Area Board of Education met on May 11, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Board Meeting Room. The president called the meeting to order. 7 directors were present, 2 were absent, and about nine audience members were in attendance. There was no audience recognition and no agenda items open to the public.

The board conducted two pieces of business, both on motion by a director and seconded by two other directors. First, the board certified acceptance of a district-wide facility study under Basic Education Circular 24 P.S. Section 7-733, School Construction Reimbursement Criteria, agreeing that at least two copies of the study would be available for public inspection throughout the PlanCon process at the district administration office. Second, the board certified that PlanCon Part A materials for the Hyde Elementary School Additions and Alterations project were approved for submission to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and certified the proposed project conforms with the district and CTC's Strategic Plan and its amended Comprehensive Special Education Plan. Both motions passed on roll call votes with all directors voting in favor. The meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m. on a motion by a director, seconded by a director, passed on a voice vote. The minutes were submitted by the clerk and the secretary.
