The Moon Township Public Library Board of Trustees met on May 12, 2026, with all members present except the assistant treasurer, who joined via Teams later. The board unanimously approved the March and April minutes as amended. The board president submitted a formal response arguing that the board’s bylaws authorize the president to appoint committee members and that a group of fewer than a quorum does not trigger Sunshine Act requirements. A motion to restore the Strategic Planning Committee to a committee of the whole failed on a 3-4 vote. A subsequent motion to hold no further committee meetings until a board member completes research on bylaws, legal counsel, and the Sunshine Act passed 4-2 with one abstention.
